【Position Summary】

• Luminous Studio is the newest game engine developed by Square Enix, Japan. Since its first reveal in 2011, with the real-time graphics tech demo "Agni's Philosophy", Luminous Studio has continued to evolve and improve. Final Fantasy XV - one of Square Enix’s most ambitious game projects - is now under development using the latest version of the engine. Striving for improvement, Luminous Studio teams are also active in R&D, and have recently released a new real-time demo titled "Witch Chapter 0 [cry]" based on DX12.
  
  The Senior Animation Programmer will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining the runtime animation system of Luminous Studio. He/she will need to tightly cooperate with other animation programmers and designers in order to achieve high quality motions and interactions, as required by the supported games.

【Responsibilities】

• Maintaining and optimizing existing animation subsystems for all platforms.
• Researching, designing and implementing new animation systems.
• Ensuring proper communication and synchronization with content creation tools.
• Profiling and Debugging.

【Required skills & experience】

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in game industry, working on various platforms.
• Deep knowledge of runtime game animation systems.
• Experience implementing, modifying, optimizing and debugging animation engine code.
• Excellent knowledge of C++.
• Basic knowledge of animation-related mathematics and physics.
• Ability to communicate in English and/or Japanese.

【Nice to have】

• At least one AAA title shipped on different platforms.
• Experience with game development on PS4 and/or XBOX1.
• Knowledge of advanced animation technologies such as physics-based animation and procedural animation.
• Understanding of game development workflows.
